See you Saturday night.

I've never been to the American Legion in Palmyra, MO before.  I haven't even been to Palmyra either.  I won't be able to say that after Saturday night (Sept 20th).  I'm sure this will be a good time with lots of friendly people.  If they know Donnie and Julie they must be good people.  If someone wants to ride with Maria and I from the lake, send me an email or stop by and let me know.

So who's doing these?

It's our very own, Kevin Semrow.  You can choose whatever you like and Kevin can make it happen with his chainsaw.  His creativity and attention to detail is second to none.  You'll be impressed and probably never forget where you live.  This is some amazing work.  If you'd like a custom log cut, call Kevin at 319-795-4973. At the 2014 annual meeting some folks thought we should get a Facebook page.  As of August no one put one out there so I set one up.  A lot of what you'll see is also on the website.  But you'll also see posts and comments from friends of LOTO that you would NOT see on the website, which makes it interesting.  Post your photos, share what's going on, etc.  Tons of people are on Facebook so it's a great way to get our name out there and have some fun.

It's been a great Labor Day Weekend

The weather has been sunny and hot, with a little humidity.  Turned out better than it the forecast predicted.  A little rain last night and today is nice and breezy.  I wasn't in the zone when it came to taking photos but it's been an active weekend.  The Labor Day gathering was a success.  Bill Davis provided the pork from his smoker and no one brought a bad dessert.  Plenty of pontoons were out with many pulling the younger ones on tubes.  Kayakers were littered all over the place as well.  And it's till not the end of the holiday weekend.

Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.

    The how and why.

Years ago when I was looking for a lake front cabin I stumbled across a realtor ad for Lake of the Oaks.  There was nothing on the web about our lake.

Everything had to be learned by chasing people down and making phone calls.  I couldn't believe that in the age of the Internet,  information about the lake was left in the Stone Age.  I decided to do something about that when I became an owner.

Always interested in technology, I enjoy providing information and updates to fellow owners and prospects. Please let me know if its working.
