Thanks to Bob Bergman, our resident cartographer, the plat map has been updated as of May, 2014. The .pdf file is located on the News/Information page. Or click this link to download it. Drawing this map is painstaking. Most people don't know Bob's full employment history. Many only know him as a retired principal. Before that, during the Middle Ages, Bob was transcribing books in a monastery with the other monks. And that's why he does such an outstanding job drawing this map and staying within the lines coloring it.
Seriously though, the association has never had such a nice illustration of our lake and updated ownership. I find it one of the most referenced documents on this website. Thanks Bob. We wouldn't be as good of an organization without you!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
The how and why.
Years ago when I was looking for a lake front cabin I stumbled across a realtor ad for Lake of the Oaks. There was nothing on the web about our lake.
Everything had to be learned by chasing people down and making phone calls. I couldn't believe that in the age of the Internet, information about the lake was left in the Stone Age. I decided to do something about that when I became an owner.
Always interested in technology, I enjoy providing information and updates to fellow owners and prospects. Please let me know if its working.
